I must be causing the political chatting classes a case of the hives these days.

Not that anyone other than my few regular readers even know this little place on the web exists. Or on second thought, maybe they do know about me, maybe a “fusion center” such as this one in Missouri has me on their “watch lists”.

Why?

The very title of this blog makes me a subversive. Or at least according to the MIAC ( Missouri Information Analysis Center, one of some 13 so called “Fusion” centers in operation across the country under the Department of Homeland Security).

Lt. John Hotz of the Missouri State Highway Patrol said the report was compiled by the Missouri Information Analysis Center based in Jefferson City and comes purely from publically (the typo here is from the article itself and not mine, ~ TNM) available, trend data on militias.
Hotz said MIAC, which opened in 2005, is a “fusion center” that combines resources from the federal Department of Homeland Security and other agencies. It was set up to collect local intelligence to better combat terrorism and other criminal activity, he said.

So, What makes a Militant a Militant according to the MIAC?

(Militia members are)

“most commonly associate with third-party political groups”

“support presidential candidates such as Ron Paul, former Constitutional Party candidate Chuck Baldwin and Bob Barr”

I am a member of the constitution party, so I guess I am a militant, according to the MIAC.

But it get’s worse.

Like history like I do? If you display a flag such as this one, you very well might be listed as a militant.

Or this one;

I’m buying two.Today.

Voted for Ron Paul? Got a bumper sticker on your car showing your support of him? You might be a “militant”. According to MIAC.

Think the country is in distress with an out of control government? And display the US Flag upside down on a blog, even at your home? Believe in what the constitution as outlined by the founding fathers says, rather than the twisted and mangled version the government and it’s members has co-opted for their own agendas? You’re possibly a militant according to “analysts” at MIAC.

Actually, I view this as a mixed bag, it’s abhorrent to know someone is compiling this sort of data and making broad stroke assumptions on the flimsiest of evidence, directed solely at American citizens.

On the other hand, the ground swelling of grassroots organizations, & the true patriots that refuse to back down to the over aggressive tactics of the Federal Government, must be hitting some nerves, why else would they even think to produce such nonsense directed at Americans who simply exercise their First Amendment rights?

Here’s a little tidbit for any of the so called “Analysts” that might stumble on this site and think to put me on some misguided watch list: Read the ROE pages.

Once you do that, read the Constitution. Get the point?

And oh, by the way, in the spirit of the 1st Amendment you will now see the flags above prominently displayed in my sidebar. Right above my banner for the Constitutional party…Just out of spite.
