Of Cows and Democrats / AIG debacle II
March 22nd, 2009 by TNM
My last post highlighted what I feel is nothing more than corrupt politicians and certain segments of the population fanning class warfare in America. It is my opinion that should this practice by the Obama Administration continue, if the class warfare is not soon tempered in America, that the only possible outcome will be bloodshed and violence.
As I watch politicians such as Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Dodd Frank, rush to the cameras and howl in anguish at the AIG Bonuses I have to ask, This is leadership by the Democrats and their cheerleaders in the press? Spare me, this is akin to a bunch of cows and a herd mentality if there ever was one.
To further illustrate this dangerous turn the country is taking, Over the weekend, the following article surfaced on Foxnews
Select quotes to this article are below and my response to these so called “activists” Cows
A busload of activists representing working- and middle-class families paid visits Saturday to the lavish homes of American International Group executives to protest the tens of millions of dollars in bonuses awarded by the struggling insurance company after it received a massive federal bailout.
That’s the opening salvo of the article, note the use here of emotion by the person penning this screed, “activists representing working – and middle-class families” “Lavish Homes”
The subtle use of this type of yellow journalism is obviously nothing more than attempt to evoke an emotional reaction from the reader.
That said, it’s to a thinking and reasoning person whom does not rely on emotions to analyze something of this nature a pretty obvious if not outright insulting ploy, an emotional gambit.
I have to throw up a flag here and ask, “Who waved the royal scepter and decreed this busload of “activists” cows are my representatives? When was the election for bovines held?”
Fact of the matter is; These people and I don’t know one another, they don’t share my voice, my outlook or know what I think. They no more represent me than a peasant in the most remote backwater region in the world would. But according to this article they represent millions of Americans. This is a staged event, it is propaganda, and incitement of peoples emotions. Nothing more.
One woman is quoted as saying:
“We think $165 million could be used in a more appropriate way to keep people in their homes, create more jobs and health care,” said Name Removed, a gardener.
That’s nice, how’s about you go back to your life and leave the productive people alone now toots? M-kay? Millions of Americans are not going to fall for your pie in the sky rhetoric and social engineering schemes.
The articles author then goes on to out an AIG employee, By name. I’ve removed that name from my post, I refuse to be part of this witch-hunt and If it was me, every News source running this tripe would be facing a lawsuit for millions. This is a abhorrent abuse of a persons privacy, of their constitutionally protected rights, but the press these days seems to simply mimic whatever the DNC tells them to, they’ve lost any and all objectivity and they wallow in Yellow Journalistic tactics based on provoking emotions and not reasoned debate.
She marveled at AIG executive (name withheld) colonial house, which has stunning views of a golf course and the Long Island Sound. The Fairfield house is “another part of the world” from her life in nearby Bridgeport, which flirted with bankruptcy in the 1990s and still struggles with foreclosures and unemployment.”
“Lord, I wonder what it’s like to live in a house that size,” she said.
Envy much you cow? Yes I called you a COW. Do you want to know WHY I called you a cow?
Because a cow is quite possibly one of the dumbest animals on earth. It exists in a complete mental vacuum and it is unthinking past the point of its next munch of hay. Content to chew on grass or it’s cud the entire day it bellows and moans at whim, it’s not really doing much to express itself, its displeasure at it’s surroundings, or it’s unhappy life, it simply lets out a moo here and there because, well that’s what cows do. And that’s what you are doing if you are riding around with the herd in some ridiculous bus mooing about the AIG employees CONTRACTUALLY obligated bonuses.
The worst of this is the woman’s invoking of the “Lord” Oh really? I suggest then Madame bellowing Cow, perhaps you take a look at the bible if you’re going to evoke the Lord. It’s pretty clear on that little subject:
You shall not covet your neighbour’s house; you shall not covet your neighbour’s wife, or male or female slave, or ox, or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbour.
Even a knuckle dragging ‘militant’ such as I can remember that little part of the bible and I haven’t set foot in a church in a decade, maybe longer. I’m agnostic.
Why is it so easy for me to remember that? It’s one of the 10 Commandments.
But lets move on now, shall we? We’ll leave our Cow in peace to chew her cud and bellow in her misery.
From the very same article, yet another “activist” moos:
Another protester, Name withheld, of Bloomfield, said she’s on the verge of foreclosure. She works as a housekeeper; her husband, a truck driver, can’t find work.
“I love my home,” she said. “I really want people to help us.”
A truck driver that can’t find work? Oh Really?
A simple Google search for “truck driving jobs” gave me these results:
Results 1 – 10 of about 56,600,000 for truck driving jobs. (0.48 seconds)
56 Million hits on a simple Google Search, so I narrowed that down to just a search of CT Truck Driving Jobs, and I got this result:
Results 1 – 10 of about 2,780,000 for CT truck driving jobs. (0.21 seconds)
Really want people to help you? Help your own damn self woman! Here’s a clue Claire the moo queen. Get off your tail, do what it takes, go turn tricks on a street corner for ll I care, but I’m not helping your sorry ass when instead of pounding the pavement looking for work, or even sitting at the PC and searching for “CT Trucking Jobs”..you’re out demonizing other Americans for their hard won success. Simply put go moo your envy someplace else. I ain’t buying.
Wading through this idiotic article and these people comical statements has done nothing but made my head ache thus far and I’m not even halfway there but lets press on.
Further on in the article the author once again throws out the AIG employees names.
Besides Name Removed home, protesters on Saturday also visited the Fairfield home of AIG executive Name Removed They were met both times by security guards. They left letters that acknowledged some executives, including Names removed, are giving up the money but that asked them to support higher taxes on families earning more than $500,000 a year.
Three times in one paragraph this author names AIG Employees. This is insane. Met by security guards? You mooing idiots are lucky it’s not me, if it were, you might find yourself looking down the barrel of a locked and loaded .45 with my finger on the trigger. No I am not kidding. AND of course there is the ever present “tax the rich” gambit as well.
Afterward, the group protested at the office of AIG’s financial products division in Wilton, where they waved signs and chanted, “Money for the needy, not for the greedy!”
Every see what happens when you throw a lit match in a pool of gasoline? You people are about to find out, because this sort of inflammatory nonsense and class warfare is going to explode in your faces, keep it up.
Not to be swayed by any sort of objectivity the author then circles back to emotional string pulling and puts this cud chewing bovine’s words in the article
Cow number three, of Hartford, said AIG executives should share their wealth with people like her sister, who is facing foreclosure.
“You ought to share it, and God will bless you for doing it,” she said.
God again? Please spare me people, you are really starting to irk me with this God Bull crap (or is that cow-crap?) See above, the bible is pretty clear on this, and your envious screed not withstanding, as we say in TN, “that dog don’t hunt”.
I have to throw my hands up at this point and say….Enough! I can’t even continue with this nonsense!!
America is on the brink of a civil war, there is going to bloodshed in the streets, and millions will perish just because some people, people like this so called reporter, and these “activists” Cows can’t grasp the simple concept that Communism is not going to work in America. It is not going to work because millions of us refuse to cow down and moo endlessly in anguish because our fellow citizens worked and made the grade.
I’m sure some would read this post and demonize me as callous or uncaring, claim I “dont understand”.
On the contrary, I understand perfectly, Despite an administration that gleefully engages in this class warfare, who seems to sanction this nonsense and seems hell bent on forcing this country to it’s knees, Some of us still understand the work it took to get to the level of these peoples career path.
I and millions of others understand the effort it takes to earn a Masters in Business from a top notch school, not a useless liberal arts degree, the risk that working in a job like these people do that entails where millions or billions of dollars can be made or lost on the wrong calls, and we also understand the yellow journalism that passes for the media, utter stupidity, and jealously now running amok in America.
